About Caroline Gourlay

Caroline is an independent Business Psychologist based in Bath. Since qualifying in 1997 she has worked with a diverse range of organisations in the public and private sectors, either directly or as an associate of larger consultancies.

Over recent years, Caroline has developed an interest in working with medium-sized businesses. She relishes the opportunity to get involved with a whole business, rather than just a section of an organisation, and to work with people who are in a position to implement decisions quickly, instead of having to work through multiple layers of management.

Carolineís particular areas of expertise relate to individuals and the way they fit (or donít fit) into their organisations. She understands what it takes for people to succeed in particular roles and can assess the chemistry between an individual and the specific culture of an organisation. She works with organisations to help them select the right people and with individuals to support them in developing their skills and confidence.

What I like about Caroline is that her advice is sensible. She understands all the touchy-feely stuff and she's caring and sensitive but she doesn't lose sight of the fact that this is a business. John Midgley, MD, Touchstone
